Five Women, Five Masks, Five Stories

Felt, cotton, and beads; mixed technique.
A series of textile works dealing with stories of longing, sorrow and injury, was created by five asylum-seeking artists, members of the Kuchinate art collective, live and work in Tel Aviv. Self-portraits created using fabric masks and beads, in a therapeutic process seeking to voice the biography of the women and strengthen their voice.
